1825 - Aboriginal Rebels
I'm Pemilwoy
Of Botany Bay,
Hunted by King,
Pickled like prey.
I'm Mosquito
A Dharruk hand,
Hanged by settlers
For defending my land.
I'm the warrior
Saturday
'Dispersed' at Bathurst,
To 'make way'.
I was the tribesman
Mowed without pardon,
To make Tasmania
An English garden.
At Binjarra
I bore the noose
So West Australia
Could be all yours.
I bled to death,
Hunted and shot,
You are Australia,
Because I'm not!
